Singapore to invest about S$300 million in quantum tech research and talent

The Business Times reports that over the next five years, Singapore plans to invest over S$300 million to support talent and research in quantum technology, including attempts to produce local processors for quantum computers.

The project, known as the National Quantum Strategy (NQS), expands on the more than S$400 million Singapore has previously spent on quantum research over the previous 20 years. In this sector, there are about 150 PhD applicants and 200 quantum researchers.
