Singapore ranked top startup ecosystem in Asia, #7 globally

Startup Genome's Global Startup Ecosystem Report highlights Singapore as the leading startup hub in Asia, capturing significant investment and focusing on Deep Tech innovation. The country's pro-business climate, strong support for startups, and strategic initiatives have attracted global talent and driven economic growth. This vibrant ecosystem fosters job creation and boosts the recruitment industry, particularly in specialised tech fields. Singapore's advancements benefit the broader Southeast Asian region through regional collaboration and investment.

Malaysia is also experiencing a robust startup ecosystem, with Kuala Lumpur ranked the 5th most valuable emerging ecosystem in the world. This can be attributed to initiatives such as Dana Impak, which commits RM6 billion over five years for impact investing. KWAP's Dana Perintis also plans RM500 million investments over 18-24 months to support the venture capital ecosystem, fostering job creation and innovation.
